Joshua Jackson Celebrated Jodie Turner-Smith on Mother’s Day With the Sweetest Note
Jodie Turner-Smith celebrated her first (American) Mother's Day this year as a brand-new mum to her and Joshua Jackson's daughter, who was born in late April. The couple have had an exciting year, as they were confirmed dating in August 2019, married just months later in December, and announced they were expecting their baby girl shortly after. Now, just a few months later, their little one is here, and Joshua is in awe of his wife as a mother.
In honour of her first Mother's Day, Joshua penned a beautiful tribute to Jodie that has rendered us emotional messes. "On this most special of mothers days I want to thank you for the being the light that you are," he wrote. "For the the passion with which you threw yourself into nurturing and protecting our child when she was in your womb. For the dedication and will you showed bringing her into the world. I have never witnessed a more powerful being than you through those moments. Thank you for the depth of grace you have found since our daughter has arrived. The commitment that you make look so effortless but I know is anything but."
The Little Fires Everywhere star continued, thanking Jodie for making him a father and for trusting him to "embark on this journey" into parenthood with her. "I am humbled more and more every day by that. I love you. I love seeing you enter the pantheon of mothers. And I look forward to walking this path by your side as we nurture this little engine of joy you have blessed the world with."
Honestly, Joshua, just leave acting behind and become a professional Cyrano de Bergerac, because that was beautiful. We're so thrilled for this little family of three and hope to see a few glimpses of baby girl soon!
