It was a historic third night at the Democratic National Convention, and one we'll remember forever. While former President Barack Obama did not hold back on his feelings for President Donald Trump and the damage he's caused to the American democracy, Sen. Kamala Harris later reminded viewers that what we need are leaders with strong core values. And no one made it more clear that Kamala has what it takes to uphold America's values than her extended family members. Kamala's sister, niece, and stepdaughter recorded a video introducing her at the convention, and we could truly feel her impact through the television.
Maya Harris, Meena Harris, and Ella Emhoff spoke to Kamala's ability to constantly inspire those around her as a "fierce, formidable, phenomenal woman." With photos of her childhood, Sunday dinners with the family, and even at recent Women's Marches, it's clear that Kamala has had such a strong influence on everyone in her life. "You're a rock.
