It was a historic third night at the Democratic National Convention [1], and one we'll remember forever. While former President Barack Obama did not hold back on his feelings for President Donald Trump [2] and the damage he's caused to the American democracy, Sen. Kamala Harris later reminded viewers [3] that what we need are leaders with strong core values. And no one made it more clear that Kamala has what it takes to uphold America's values [4] than her extended family members. Kamala's sister, niece, and stepdaughter recorded a video introducing her at the convention, and we could truly feel her impact through the television.
Maya Harris, Meena Harris [5], and Ella Emhoff [6] spoke to Kamala's ability to constantly inspire those around her [7] as a "fierce, formidable, phenomenal woman." With photos of her childhood, Sunday dinners with the family, and even at recent Women's Marches, it's clear that Kamala has had such a strong influence on everyone in her life [8]. "You're a rock. Not just for our dad, but for three generations of our big, blended family," Ella said. Watch the video above.
