Kate Middleton on Parenting and Schooling During Pandemic

Ha! Prince George Wants to Steal Princess Charlotte's School Projects Because They're "Far Cooler"

It's no secret these days that homeschooling kids comes with its challenges, and apparently, the royal family isn't exempt from the struggle! In a recent interview with ITV's This Morning, the Duchess of Cambridge shared that getting 6-year-old Prince George and 5-year-old Princess Charlotte to do their own schoolwork is a lot harder than it looks.

"George gets very upset because he just wants to do all of Charlotte's projects," she explained. "Making spider sandwiches is far cooler than doing literacy work."

Ah, yes, we can definitely relate to that! The duchess also shared that she's taking the time she has with the kids to discuss what's going on in the world, even though it can be difficult.

"It's really hard, and actually we hadn't done a huge amount [of FaceTime calls] but obviously we're doing that a lot more now. And actually it's been really great. We try and sort of check in daily with family members and speak to them about news and things like that, and in some ways I suppose we've got a lot more contact and a lot more face time than perhaps we would have done before, but it is difficult," said Catherine. "It's hard to explain to a 5- and a 6-, nearly 7-year-old, what's going on, but the school's been great in supporting them as well."
