Katie Lee Pregnant With First Child After Infertility Issues

After Sharing Struggles With Infertility, the Food Network's Katie Lee Has a Baby on the Way!

The Food Network's Katie Lee is officially expecting her first child with husband Ryan Biegel! The 38-year-old soon-to-be mom and host of The Kitchen shared the big news in a sweet Instagram post on Feb. 26.

"Eating for two. Baby Biegel is on the way!" she wrote alongside a pasta emoji under a photo with her bump on display. Katie has always been open about her fertility journey, and shared that starting her family has been a long process. She opened up via Instagram post in April about how, despite wanting to get pregnant when she first got married in 2018, it has taken longer than she and Ryan thought it would.

"When Ryan and I got married, our plan was to start a family right away," she wrote. "I couldn't wait to get pregnant! I naively thought it would be easy. I'm a healthy woman, I eat a balanced diet, exercise, I don't smoke. Ryan is the same. But reproductive health is an entirely different ballgame."

She also opened up about her frustrating experience with IVF. "We were trying, I had to have surgery to correct a problem, got an infection, then I was so run down I got shingles," she wrote. "My doctor advised us to try IVF. We just finished the intense process only to get zero healthy embryos. Not only is IVF physically exhausting, the emotional toll is unparalleled. We were filled with hope and excitement only to be crushed."

As soon as Katie shared the news, well wishes from fans, as well as celebrities like Daphne Oz and Geoffrey Zakarian, flooded her post. Congrats to the growing family!
