Katy Perry has many titles to her name: singer, new mom [2], wife, TV show judge, and now, debunker of false parenting myths. Just one month after giving birth to her baby daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom [3], Katy shared her two cents on the popular, though completely untrue, misconception that time off from work after giving birth is comparable to a holiday. She tweeted: "When a mom finally goes back to work (whatever profession they do) it's not like they been coming from months of 'time off...' she's coming from a full time job... of being a mom, lol." Say it louder for the people in the back, Katy!

Popular misconception: being a mom isn't a full time job πŸ™ƒπŸΌπŸ€ͺ

part 2: when a mom finally goes back to work (whatever profession they do) it's not like they been coming from months of "time off..." she's coming from a full time job... of being a mom, lol.

The 35-year-old star also made sure to bring up paid maternity leave and encouraged her followers to push for it. "Call your mom and tell her you love and appreciate her and advocate for paid family leave," she tweeted [6]. Here's where we pass along a not-so-friendly reminder that although some states like California and New Jersey do require paid parental leave, the United States is one of the few countries in the world that somehow still does not nationally mandate paid leave [7] for new parents by law.

Despite the exhaustion Katy's been experiencing lately while caring for her newborn, it sounds like she's loving every minute with her new bundle of joy.

Part 4. I love my job.
