I think I speak for all animal-lovers when I say that as soon as a new dog graces the neighbourhood, I notice right away. And apparently, the same thing goes for Troy, who's currently in the fourth grade. In a sweet photo that's making its rounds on Reddit [3], Troy penned a handwritten note to his neighbours, who happen to have an adorable golden retriever puppy [4] named Arthur.
The heartwarming letter reads: "Hello neighbours my name is Troy and I'm in 4th grade and I'm just wondering if maybe after this virus you need a dog sitter and if so I can take your dog on walks." The varying marker colours are a nice touch, right?
According to Arthur's Instagram account [6], the pup is just as excited to make a new friend. "I made friends with a small hooman today," the caption said. "He's like basically me-sized. I bet I can get him to give me more treats than my hoomans." Fingers crossed Troy's dream comes true once it's safe to stop practicing social distancing!
