Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons' Son is Such a Cutie Pie — and Already a World Traveller!

Five or so years ago, Kirsten Dunst [1] wasn't planning on getting pregnant; in fact, she was prepping to freeze her eggs instead. But then Jesse Plemons [2] walked into her life and the rest was history — literally! "I thought I would have a hard time getting pregnant, but it was a surprise," she said in the Aug. 2019 cover story for Net-a-Porter's digital magazine. "If I hadn't met Jesse, I would have frozen my eggs. [But] it feels like I lucked out." The couple met while working on the set of Fargo in 2016. Less than two years later, Dunst was pregnant and engaged.

It took Dunst becoming a godmother [3] for her to fully realise how badly she wanted to join the mom club. "I put her to bed last night and she woke up this morning and said to her mom, 'Where's Kiki?'" she reminisced to Marie Claire UK. The Bring it On star [4], who's been working since the age of 3, concluded: "It's time to have babies and chill." And we're so glad she did because little Ennis is so dang cute! Read more about him ahead.

Ennis Howard Plemons

Dunst and Plemons welcomed their baby boy, Ennis Howard Plemons [6], on May 3, 2018. The Spider-Man actress revealed the backstory behind her newborn's name [7] on Jimmy Kimmel Live back in 2019. "You know those baby websites where you just keep scrolling. We were like, 'We like that. It sounds cool,'" she laughed in regards to the name's western, old-cowboy vibe. Dunst also said she's already brainstormed the possible ways Ennis could be teased on the playground because of his name. "I know what Ennis will be called," she continued. "Come on, you just stick a P in front of it. There's also anus. That's not a great one."

A world traveller at just 2 years old, Ennis has racked up a few funny stories, too. Because the parents were filming in New Zealand pre-COVID, the crew decided to hunker down out there once quarantine went into affect. "It helps him with his potty training," Dunst told the Los Angeles Times, referring to Ennis using the backyard as his personal outhouse at their temporary rural home in Auckland [8]. "There's horses around here. And we have two old cats living with us." Sounds like Ennis has had quite the quarantine adventure!
