National treasures, Michelle and Barack Obama, are trying to give parents a break by reading to kids, and bless them! Michelle, who has been reading to our kids solo for the past month through her series, "Mondays With Michelle," sat down with Barack to read The Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds aloud, and the video is as wholesome as you'd expect.
"Michelle and I want to do our part to give all you parents a break today, so we're reading The Word Collector for [Chicago Public Library]," Barack wrote on Twitter. "It's a fun book that vividly illustrates the transformative power of words––and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did."
We did enjoy it as much as they did, mainly because of the couple's sweet banter and Barack's extremely pure "I love words" profession at the beginning of the video. Watch the full reading above (we know they said this was to give parents a break, but this is just as delightful an experience for adults as it is for kids) and stick around until the end to hear Michelle's playful dig at her husband's ears.
