Neil Patrick Harris has spent the better part of the year social distancing with his husband, David Burtka, and their 10-year-old twins, Gideon and Harper. While discussing how helpful it's been to use PayPal and Venmo QR codes to shop safely amid the pandemic — they've been doing a ton of online shopping for their new Golden Retriever, Ella! — The Matrix 4 actor shared how much he misses going to Disney World with his family.
"We usually go [to Disney World] every year at the beginning of December and around the holidays," Neil told POPSUGAR. "I [narrated] the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, and it was understandably cancelled this year. So, we haven't had our Disney fix. I can't wait to go when all of this is done and there's not a ton of plexiglass and social distancing. That'll be a good day."
A self-admitted avid collector of Haunted Mansion memorabilia — who can forget their family's themed Halloween costume from 2018?! — it comes as no surprise that the spooky house is his go-to ride. "My favourite attraction is the Haunted Mansion," he said with a laugh. "All day, all night, Haunted Mansion! The kids' favourite attraction might be Expedition Everest, but [they] haven't checked out Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway yet — that's new."
When Neil isn't daydreaming about an afternoon at Disney, he's busy silently praising the creators of Minecraft . . . because aren't all parents?
"I'm very thankful that Minecraft exists because it's a video game that they can play, but it also makes me as a parent feel like they might be architects," he said. "So my conscience is semiclear when they're just sitting, staring at screen after screen in school all day."
