Kim Kardashian Says Kanye Won't Let North Wear Makeup: "He Changed All the Rules"
North West has dreams of becoming a makeup artist, but her practice might be limited to playtime for a little while — dad Kanye put the brakes on any beauty products. Kim Kardashian told E! News on Thursday that her 6-year-old daughter won't be wearing any makeup out-and-about for the time being, at Kanye's request.
"I think he had it, he changed all the rules," she said. "I'd let her wear, you know, she has a little red for Christmas, I'd let her wear a red lip, or I'd let her do one pop of something. I'd let her, if she's wearing a black dress, a black lip."
"So, I kind of got in trouble for that," Kim continued. "So, it's now no more makeup."
Previous to this rule change, North appeared on the cover of beauty magazines, did makeup tutorials with her mom, and even tested out some of Kim's new products. She may not be able to test out a bold new eyeshadow for a few more weeks? months? years? but Kim said she's "absolutely" free to weigh in on fashion decisions. Maybe we'll see North West, the celebrity stylist, in years to come.
