The student has become the teacher! Back in October 2019, Deacon Phillippe taught mom Reese Witherspoon [3] everything she needed to know about TikTok, and nine months later, she's making dances of her own. Specifically, she's creating choreography to embarrass her 16-year-old — you know, like any mom with a teenager would.
On Friday, Deacon released his first single, "Long Run," with singer Nina Nesbitt. Reese expressed her pride through a couple of Instagram posts, writing, "It's the perfect summer bop with a sick beat and dope drops (is that what the kids say 🤗?!)." Spoken like a true mom!
She also sat down to listen to the track with Deacon, and that's when the dance moves started breaking through. "When your kid has his first single... you gotta dance!" she captioned the hilarious TikTok video [4], which shows Deacon in peak "avert your eyes" mode. You can hear his exasperated "No, mom, no!" from miles away, but he must've come around later since he replied to her post with a sweet, "Hahahahah I love you🤣."
