Ava, who was born on Sept. 9, 1999, is Reese's oldest child and her first with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. And while Ava has always resembled her mama, she and Reese look scarily alike now that she's a young adult.
On Reese's birthday in 2019, Ava gushed about her mom, writing on Instagram: "This is the gorgeous woman who taught me about the power of graciousness, love, ambition, and hard work. She inspires me everyday to live with gratitude for the life I've been given and compassion for others." Reese followed up with, "How did I get so lucky to have a daughter like you?"
Aw! Reese also got sentimental when she spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about sending Ava off to college. "It's weird when your children go away to college. It's hard. I never imagined how it felt for my mom." She added, "I might have gone into her empty room, laid down on her bed, and cried."
Reese's second child, Deacon — whose dad is also Ryan Phillippe — was born on Oct. 23, 2003. Although we love his unique first name, the fact that he shares his middle name with his mom's first (though technically, it's her middle name, too, as her full given name is Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon) is too cute!
On his fifteenth birthday, Reese shared the above photo on Instagram and gushed about her middle child: "Happy Birthday to my wonderful, creative, kind, talented boy @deaconphillippe! Everyday you teach me something new about beats, Fort Nite dances, fantasy football and cool sneakers. What a gift to be your mom. I love you, buddy! (P.S. When did you get so tall!?)"
Reese's youngest child, Tennessee — her first and only with husband Jim Toth — was born on Sept. 26, 2012. Tennessee is definitely the child that appears on Reese's Instagram most, and by the look of it, he's growing into looking just like his mama, as his older siblings have before him. He does however, share a middle name with his dad's first (a name that was probably easier to learn how to spell than his first!).
On his seventh birthday, Reese wrote about her adorable boy: "Boy, this kid makes me laugh! Happy 7th birthday to my sweet boy Tennessee. Here's to a day filled with chocolate cake, Beyblades, and dog cuddles!"
