We can always count on Ryan Reynolds to serve up the perfect mix of charm and dark humour while being interviewed, and he delivered just that during a virtual Tonight Show [1] appearance that aired Tuesday night. While chatting with host Jimmy Fallon about staying at home with his wife, Blake Lively, their three daughters [2], and his mother-in-law, he continuously cracked jokes that made our love for him grow tenfold.

"It's the best," he said of social distancing with his family [3]. "It was a toss up for a minute there — should I quarantine with my publicly facing family or my secret family in Denmark? It was a real toss up . . . I went with the Hollywood family. It's been great. It's a decision I don't regret at all." When Jimmy asked how his daughters feel about having their dad home all the time, Ryan joked with a sly smile, "Frankly, I think it sets a dangerous precedent, Jimmy. I think when we look back at this thing years from now, they're going to think about me and how I used to be a present dad. And I worry about that."
Moments after briefly showing his sentimental side to comment on how he appreciates "spending as much time as possible" with his family, he snapped back into his classic joker mode. "It really does vacillate between deep, beautiful connection and then suddenly it's like the third act of Aliens. Suddenly I'm having a totally normal conversation with a 3-year-old and she's spitting acid in my face and I'm running for my life in the belly of the ship and wearing nothing but a tank top, sweaty as hell." My oh my, does this man have quite the imagination!
