Professional tennis player and mental health advocate, Naomi Osaka, is the latest to get a Barbie Role Model Doll in her likeness! Featuring Naomi's Yonex tennis racket and a Nike outfit she wore at the 2020 Australian Open, the doll is ready to serve serious game just like the four-time Grand Slam singles champion.
However, this isn't the first time the athlete and human rights activist has been spotlighted by Barbie. In honour of International Women's Day and Barbie's 60th anniversary in 2019, Naomi was recognised as a Role Model with her very own Barbie Shero doll alongside actress Yara Shahidi and other inspiring women around the world.
"It's such an honour to be a part of the Barbie Role Model series, and to remind young girls that they can make a difference in the world," Naomi, who will be competing in her first Olympics for Japan this month, said in a press release. "I want young girls everywhere to feel empowered to dream big and to know that if they believe in themselves that anything is possible!"
