Keeping your hands out of a candy bowl can be a struggle for most adults, but throw a toddler into the mix, and we're definitely sceptical! Believe it or not, some little ones out there have a tremendous amount of willpower. Recently, parents have been testing their kiddos' patience through the "Fruit Snack Challenge," [1] a sweet social media movement where parents put a bowl of candy out for their children and then leave the room for a few minutes after telling them not to eat any. Obviously, the entire saga is filmed.
Last week, Kylie Jenner attempted the challenge with her 2-year-old daughter [2], Stormi, who passed with flying colours. And on May 17, Lauren Akins tried the popular internet trend with Ada [3], her 2-year-old little girl whom she shares with husband Thomas Rhett. "Ada James being so BERY patient," she captioned the post.
Once Lauren left the room, Ada used a whole lot of self-control to keep the promise she made to her mom. After hovering her face mere inches away from the candy, she pushes the entire bowl across the table to fight temptation.
Naturally, Lauren's followers were both impressed and delighted by Ada's response: "Oh my gosh. I could watch this a thousand times!!!!" wrote one commenter. Another agreed, saying: "So cute!
