This Mom Dressed Her 2-Year-Old as a Popeyes Chicken Sandwich For Halloween, and I Love It
Please give it up for Nidra Cummings, a mom who kept her 2-year-old son Nathan's appetite in mind when she planned their dual Halloween costumes. The Las Vegas-based nurse told Good Morning America she wanted something original and "really cool" for their outfits this year, and decided to start working on a look inspired by the famed Popeyes Chicken Sandwich. ICYMI, the fast-food chain released a sandwich a couple of months ago that sparked a furious social media debate and subsequently sold out in two weeks.
The hype around this sandwich, paired with Nathan's love of food, sparked an idea for Nidra. She made Nathan's costume over the course of a month using actual Popeyes boxes, and designed her own outfit based off of the spokeswoman, Annie. She even glued actual cornflakes to Nathan's sleeves to create that signature crunchy exterior. To make matters even better, Popeyes recently announced the sandwich is returning on Nov. 3, so these costumes couldn't be better timed! Check out their adorable photos.
