Usher Welcomed His First Baby Girl, and Her Name Is a Unique One!

Usher is a father of three! The singer welcomed his first child with girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea, a daughter named Sovereign Bo Raymond. "We are feeling blessed and full of love with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond. 'Isn't She lovely' by Stevie Wonder on repeat," Usher wrote on Instagram.

The name Sovereign is a unique one, in that it doesn't appear on the Social Security Administration (SSA)'s top 1,000 baby names lists for either boys or girls in any year since 1900. According to Nameberry, baby girl's middle name, Bo, is a Norse nickname meaning "to live." Bo doesn't appear in the SSA's top 1,000 for girls either, however, it ranked as the 565th most popular name for boys in 2019.
