Vanessa Bryant took to Instagram on May 1 to celebrate her late daughter, Gianna. She wished her second oldest daughter [1] a happy 14th birthday [2] in a heartfelt tribute accompanied by a colourful photo of Gianna .

"Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna," she wrote. "Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!"

Ever since losing her husband and daughter in a helicopter accident on Jan. 26, [3] Vanessa has spoken openly about her grief. "I've been reluctant to put my feelings into words [4]. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone," she wrote in an Instagram post on Feb 10. "I can't process both at the same time. It's like I'm trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong." Our hearts go out to Vanessa and the Bryant family on this emotional day.
