It's that time of year in which your mailbox is filled with Christmas cards depicting perfect family portraits, but anyone who has sent such a card knows the truth about what went down before the camera shutter clicked. Victoria Beckham [3] is one such parent, and she bravely shared some behind-the-scenes footage of what went into the creation of her family's Christmas card.
"Never work with kids or animals!" the former Spice Girl joked in the funny Instagram video, which showed Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 15, and Harper, 9, gathered in front of a large, lit Christmas tree.
At one point, she passive-aggressively asked Brooklyn to put on something more appropriate with a subtle, "Are you sure you don't want to put trousers on?" Meanwhile, she took one look at Cruz's graphic sweatshirt and sarcastically said, "Excellent – that sums up your personality."
At one point, with their three dogs rough-housing in the foreground, Harper could be heard protesting: "It's a very sad Christmas!" Through exhausted laughter, Victoria tried to keep her in check: "It's not a very sad Christmas. It's a lovely Christmas! . . . PICK UP A DOG!"
She shared the final photo on Instagram. Although no pets were pictured, she managed to get smiles out of her four children. Of course, she added a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, and two strategically placed sets of devil horns. Your honesty is much appreciated, Mrs. Beckham!
