Reese Witherspoon on Embarrassing Her 3 Kids: "That's Basically My Role"

Reese Witherspoon is proud to be considered an embarrassing mom! The 44-year-old mother of three spoke with her Little Fires Everywhere costar, Kerry Washington, who was guest hosting an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on Aug. 18. After discussing her company's 18 Emmy nominations — and how she plans to watch the award show with her family, dressed in pajamas — Reese shared that her son Deacon is dipping his toes into the music industry.

"He released a song this summer!" Reese said of her son, who also just shot his first music video. "It's called 'Long Run,' and it's on the Spotify charts, and it's a global dance hit, and I'm so proud of him. He's the producer . . . we just could not be prouder of him." After the song's drop, Reese shared more than one video of herself dancing to Deacon's single, and his reactions were so classic teenager, you can't help but laugh.

And seeing as she's a mom who has no issue sharing videos of her kiddos on social media, we're not surprised that Reese gets the tiniest bit of pleasure out of embarrassing her offspring. "I just say if you're not embarrassing your children, you're not spending enough time with them," she explained. "That's basically my role. It's our job as parents to really, like, really ramp up the embarrassment."
