Considering the Great Dane can stand as tall as 32 inches at the shoulder, it's no wonder that some people find this giant of a breed pretty intimidating. However, this imposing pup (which is known as the "Apollo of dogs") only looks scary, as Great Danes have a reputation for being quite sweet and docile. These gentle giants are most easily recognised for their muscular bodies, expressive faces, and — of course — their towering height, though their coats can come in six different colours, including fawn, brindle, blue, black, harlequin, and mantle. No matter the shade, all Great Danes are equally adorable, and we have the pics to prove it.
