Pet parents, pull up a chair and gather round because if you've ever had to barricade your four-legged friend outside of your room at night, you'll find what I'm about to show you very relatable. In an adorable throwback video making its rounds on Instagram, a Golden Retriever [3] named Chester is absolutely beside himself after getting locked out of his human's bedroom [4].
In the adorable clip — which is set to the "Sad Cat Diary" [5] audio that went viral in 2013 — we see Chester looking oh-so-sad due to his unfortunate exile. "The authorities have closed the door to the bedroom. I can only assume that they have forgotten about me and have left me here to die," says a melancholy voice. "As a last resort, I will stand post for the rest of the night and sing the song of my people in hopes that they rescue me."
