Lady Gaga [1] is a dedicated Mother Monster to her fans, or "Little Monsters," but she's also a doting dog mama to the sweetest brood of French bulldogs [2] she affectionately refers to as her three little piggies. Although Gaga shares photos of her pups on Instagram fairly often, it wasn't until February that her dogs really gained a global spotlight — and it wasn't for a fun reason.
On Feb. 24, while she was filming a movie in Italy, Lady Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot and attacked. Two of Gaga's dogs were stolen but fortunately were returned unharmed two nights later [3] after the singer offered a $500,000 reward. While in the hospital recovering, Ryan shared an update on Instagram [4] and addressed Lady Gaga directly, writing: "Your babies are back and the family is whole . . . your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss from your kids, was unwavering. I love you and thank you."

Asia
Lady Gaga [7]'s oldest pooch, Miss Asia Kinney, was born on Jan. 31, 2014. Asia was first introduced on Instagram on April 27 of that year with a short video captioned: "Her name is Asia. She is a BATPIG I love her I'm her mom." After that, Lady Gaga's account quite literally became an Asia fan account, and while the pup still appears on her mom's Instagram, she's the only one of her siblings to have her own account, @missasiaxoxo [8].
In 2015, Asia became the first famous puppy face of the Coach Pups Campaign, which also included Ariana Grande [9]'s dog, Toulouse. Coach made donations to various charities during the campaign; on behalf of Miss Asia, Coach donated to the Chicago French Bulldog Rescue [10].
Koji
Middle sibling Koji was born on Jan. 14, 2015, nearly a full year after his big sister. Gaga introduced her then-puppy three months later on April 23, writing: "Asia's brother, Koji. His name means 'little one' because he is so small!" Asia also introduced Koji on Instagram, writing: "This my brother Koji I luv him."
Gustav
Lady Gaga [11]'s youngest pup, Gustav, was born on Sept. 23, 2016. When he joined the crew two months later, he was introduced with a bunch of nicknames before finally being given the name Gustav. "I'm proud to announce we added a new member to the #JOANNE family," Lady Gaga wrote in the caption of a photo of baby Gustav and his eager older siblings. "I haven't named him yet but I call him both cowpig and moopig in the meantime!" She added later, in a second photo, "He is so precious and the perfect addition to our three little piggies."
Gustav and his brother, Koji, were the two of Lady Gaga's dogs who were taken when her dog walker was attacked on Feb. 24. Thankfully, they were returned unharmed two days later and reunited with their mama and older sister.
