Big Poppa, a Bulldog pup who normally has a vibrant social life, isn't taking the physical distancing orders all that well. On April 21, his owner, Rashida Ellis, snapped a glum photo of him sitting on their patio. As soon as she shared it to Twitter, the image received a ton of fanfare, because honestly, it's pretty darn relatable.
"Big Poppa has been so sad today, I think he [misses] playing with the kids in the building," she captioned her tweet. "He just watches them from the patio."
Like many pet owners who can no longer interact with strangers while on walks or take their pups to the dog park, Rashida is doing her best to abide by the social distancing guidelines. "The sad thing is we have to social-distance even him," Rashida told BuzzFeed News. "When he's inside, he just walks out to the patio looking for people. He's sleeping more. He's a little sluggish. I can tell he's not as happy and excited as he usually is. He's probably tired of just me playing with him."
