Ring the alarm! The Australian firefighters are back with their annual animal calendars, and the kittens and puppies are certainly not the only focus of the monthly photos. Don't get me wrong, I love a fluffy kitten, floppy puppy, and cuddly koala as much as the next person, if not more, but these — ahem, shirtless — firefighters are also . . . there.

Thirst aside, these calendars support a number of wonderful causes that mainly focus on native Australian, rescue, and therapy animals such as Safe Haven Animal Rescue, All Breeds Canine Rescue, and Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital.

This year, there's also a new version of the annual calendar, the "Hero" calendar, that honours the firefighters who were involved in saving wildlife and putting out the bushfires that spread across the country between June 2019 and early 2020. "No one was left unaffected watching our precious wildlife trying to escape from the bushfires, and the loss of wildlife is beyond comprehension. Everyone at the Australian Firefighters Calendar decided that all our efforts needed to be focussed on Australian Wildlife this year," said David Rogers, the director of the Australian Firefighters Calendar, in a press release.

Keep scrolling to look through some of the photos that will be in the 2021 calendars and to shop all six versions to help support the charities involved!
