Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

A popular destination for adventure seekers and hikers, Bryce Canyon National Park has a lot to offer — especially in Winter. From snowmobiling to snowshoeing and skiing to beautiful photography landscapes, there really is something for everyone.

If you're looking for a bit of entertainment, the annual Bryce Winter Festival is held over Presidents' Day Weekend [5] at Ruby's Inn [6]. The festival offers snow sculpture contests, sled races, and much more, making it the perfect Winter wonderland escape!

London, England

Home to tea time, the royal family, and so much history, London is a great holiday spot for sightseeing. I strongly recommend getting fish and chips at Windsor Castle in Kensington and afternoon tea at The English Rose Cafe and Tea Shop [7] just minutes away from Buckingham Palace.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland has been on my bucket list for awhile now, and for good reason. Besides being known for puffins, Icelandic horses, and breathtaking glaciers, Iceland is perhaps most popular for its Blue Lagoon spa [8]. This geothermic seawater oasis experience screams girls' trip. And if you're lucky, you might even see the northern lights!

Barcelona, Spain

The question isn't what should you do in Spain, it's how much time do you have! Here's a quick list of attractions you must check out: tapas at Bar Lobo [9], Gothic Quarter, Park Güell, La Sagrada Familia, coffee and pastries at Forns del Pi [10], and catch a traditional flamenco show at Tarantos Club Barcelona. Also, churros and chocolate are a must, as is a trip to Barcelona beach.

Traveller's tip: pickpocketing is a very common crime in Barcelona, so make sure to leave sentimental or costly personal items at home and keep an eye (and hand) on your purse at all times.

Austin, Texas

Wanting a wild country weekend with the girls? San Antonio is quickly becoming the new Nashville, but not everyone knows it yet, meaning it won't be nearly as crowded. Throw on your boots and a flannel shirt, because you'll be line dancing from one honkey tonk to the next in no time.

Turks and Caicos

White sandy beaches and crystal clear waters is just what the doctor ordered. While you're here, experience the local culture by visiting a conch farm, eating at Da Conch Shack [11], and snorkeling among the coral islands. Travel experts recommend Grace Bay Beach [12] for luxurious resorts, eateries, and local boutiques.

Sedona, Arizona

Rent an ATV or Jeep and explore the Red Rock Country for yourself, or lace up your hiking boots and conquer one of the many hiking trails the city has to offer. After a long day of adventuring, wind down with your girls by stargazing, (you'll be left breathless by the beauty).

Sedona isn't only known for its hiking trails and red rock formations, though. Also considered a vortex, Sedona is a sacred spot for spirituality and wellness, too. So, centre yourself and try meditating, yoga, or working with healers to find your zen.

Temecula, California

Sure, Napa is fun, but what if I told you that a similar place exists in Southern California, only it's not as touristy and you'll feel like you time travelled into a country western the minute you hit downtown? Welcome to Temecula, ladies!

Home to wineries galore, this quaint city will quickly become an annual girls' trip destination. Old Town Temecula has a rustic atmosphere to it and there's plenty of shopping to be done. In fact, many shops sell local artistry like jewellery, home decor, and clothing. The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival [13], which features entertainment, wine tasting, and hot air balloon rides, will be hosted on May 29-31.

Aruba

Lazy days on the beach? Check. Water sport activities? Check. Gorgeous sunsets? Check. Renaissance Resort and Casino [14] in Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba, has a private, adult-only beach where you can spend the day making friends with flamingos! And even if you aren't a staying at this particular resort, day passes are available for purchase so you won't miss out on all the fun.

Folegandros, Greece

Since Santorini has become a hugely popular travel destination that's often overcrowded, you and your girls should head to the island of Folegandros instead. With stunning views, untouched beaches, crystal clear waters, and Greece's signature white-washed towns, you'll truly get away from it all here. Make sure you try classic Mediterranean dishes [15] like gyros, feta cheese baked in honey, homemade baklava, chicken and orzo, and yoghurt with honey and nuts!

Thailand

Planning a trip to Thailand can be a bit overwhelming as it's very far away and the list of things to do is seemingly endless, but trust me, it's more than worth it. While here, check out The Grand Palace, which was once home to the king, government officials, and even the Royal Mint. It's located in the heart of Bangkok and is considered one of the more popular tourist attractions. Day trips to Koh Phi Phi, Wat Arun, and the Damneon Saduak Floating Market will help further immerse yourselves in the beautiful culture.

Traveller's tip: While travelling throughout Thailand, be aware of strict dress codes when entering places of worship or of historical importance. This is a destination that cannot be organised or thrown together at the last minute, so make sure you plan ahead!

Montreal, Canada

Known for its impressive architecture and creative energy, Montreal might just be the boost you and your girlfriends need. With scenic city views from Mount Royal to going on a street art scavenger hunt and taking in the beauty of Notre-Dame Basilica, you'll never be bored on this trip. Oh, and make sure you try some poutine while you're here!

Charleston, South Carolina

I've heard that once you visit Charleston, you'll have a hard time packing your bags and saying goodbye. Coated in history, this charming city is a no-brainer for a girls' getaway. Referred to as the nation's well-preserved Southern belle, you and your girlfriends can expect things like horse-drawn carriages, enjoying lunch on grand estates, and shopping on cobblestone streets. And don't miss checking out Battery, the waterfront promenade and a Charleston staple.

Tuscany

Nestled in the Italian countryside, Tuscany offers endless relaxation, mouth-watering food, and, of course, barrels and barrels of wine. With Florence right around the corner and Venice and Rome a short train ride away, there's no shortage of things to do. Sign up for a cooking class, squash some grapes to make your own wine, or go truffle picking!

Martha's Vineyard, MA

This quaint city is just a 45-minute ferry ride from Cape Cod and offers exquisite dining, nightlife, and local boutiques. Whether you're looking for a magical Winter destination or a Summer holiday house, Martha's Vineyard will not disappoint. You can also explore Nantucket, which is located nearly 30 miles off the coast. There, you'll find cobblestone streets, historic sites, and picturesque lighthouses. Oh, and don't forget to check out the lookout at Aquinnah Cliffs [16].

Cusco, Peru

This unforgettable city is surrounded by Inca ruins, Peruvian Andes Mountains, and exquisite architecture. A day trip to Machu Picchu [17] is easily accessible and a popular reason why many travel to Cusco. But you'll be staying for the delicious cuisine and llamas that freely roam the city streets!
