You Can Stay at the Resort Where The White Lotus Was Filmed — For a Few Grand a Night

11/08/2021 - 06:03 PM

HBO's The White Lotus [1] may be a fictional miniseries, but the Hawaiian resort where it was filmed is indeed real. The intriguing show's first season was shot at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea [2], a dreamy escape that offers gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, the West Maui Mountains, and other islands in the distance. The White Lotus's stacked cast [3] — which includes Sydney Sweeney, Brittany O'Grady, Jake Lacy, Alexandra Daddario, Jennifer Coolidge, and more — and crew wound up living in a bubble at the luxurious oceanfront retreat while shooting all six episodes from October through December 2020. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us!

It should hardly come as a surprise that the Four Seasons Resort Maui is a five-star establishment and was even named one of the top 15 beach resorts in the US [4] by Travel + Leisure. Guests can enjoy various restaurants, cabana-encompassed pools, high-end shops, outdoor activities, and a spa that, although not managed by Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), nevertheless looks delightful. The tropical getaway has quite the hefty price tag, with rooms ringing up at anywhere from $1,000 to — are you ready for this? — $26,000 per night, depending on which type of suite you fancy. Whew!

If a stay at the Four Seasons Resort Maui is a smidge out of your budget, we gathered all the must-see photos of the lodging so you can take a virtual tour of sorts and see how it looks in real life. Check 'em out ahead, and if you do happen to visit the resort, be sure to be respectful of the native Hawaiian community and culture during your travels.
