To celebrate the Tate Modern's 20th anniversary (a little late due to the pandemic), an exhibition dedicated to famed Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama will show her Infinity Rooms exhibition from 18 May 2021 for a full year. This is rare chance to see two of Kusama's immersive mirror room installations, paired with photos and footage of her early performance works and time spent in the studio.

The exhibition will feature "Infinity Mirrored Room – Filled with the Brilliance of Life", which is one of Kusama's largest installations to date and was originally made for her 2012 retrospective at Tate Modern. This room will be shown alongside "Chandelier of Grief", which, according to a statement released by Tate, is a room that creates the "illusion of a boundless universe of rotating crystal chandeliers".

Originally the exhibition was due to open on May 11 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was delayed. It was uncertain if and when the exhibition would be open in the future, and we can now confirm the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Rooms [1] will return 18 May 2021 in line with the government's roadmap to reopen museums and theatres in England from 17 May. The exhibition will remain open until 12 June 2022, and it will cost £10 for non-members and £5 for Tate members to visit.
