Illustration of Emoticon face has become a very popular tool for expressing feeling across the social media between the Millennial generation.

Have you ever been mid-text with a friend when your iPhone [1] keeps autocorrecting a word? If you're like me, it probably results in your text thread reading something like this: "What the duck! *DUCK. Omg, *DUCK!!!! Never mind, I give up". Thankfully, there's an easy hack [2] to ensure all your future exchanges stay true to what you actually want to say. All you have to do is just save certain words that often get switched while typing as fake contacts in your iPhone.

To do this, first open up your Phone app (as if you were going to make a call), and then locate the Contacts icon on the bottom middle of that page. When you tap on Contacts it will open up to show you who exactly is in your digital contacts rolodex. To add a new contact, aka the word you don't want autocorrect to mess with any more, tap the plus sign on the top right and then type your word into the First Name section. It's as easy as that!

If you prefer, you can always go about the standard way of doing this by adding your words into your iPhone's dictionary so it recognises them as valid and not a typo. To do this, go into Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Text Replacement. Here you can add the word into the Phrase section and then you'll be good to go.
