TEDx Talk on Colourblindness | Video

This Guy's Insight on What It's Like to Be Colourblind Is Equal Parts Funny and Thoughtful

Storyteller and humorist Bryan Kett broke down what it's really like to be colourblind in a thoughtful TEDx talk delivered in California, USA, in September. After diving into the science behind colourblindness, he explained the complexities of the condition, touching on his own experience while sharing some hilarious anecdotes. "What I'm wearing right now took an entire team of professionals to assemble," he said. "Apparently these pants are burgundy, which I'm told is quite bold and quite stylish." Later, he joked, "I have a hard time knowing when meat is properly cooked, so I just play it safe and burn everything."

In between funny stories, though, Kett delved into cultural takes on colour, how being colourblind has affected his perspective, and why he's excited for what's next. Check out the full clip above to hear about his unique outlook — and get in a few laughs.
