I'm Full-On Weeping Over These Tweets About the Internet's "Number Neighbour Challenge"

05/08/2019 - 10:27 PM

If you've scrolled through Twitter in the past week or so, you've likely seen a plethora of tweets about people reaching out to their so-called "number neighbours." The new internet trend of sorts entails sending a text message to someone with the exact same phone number as yours, except their last digit is either a number above or below your last digit. For example, if your phone number is 123-456-7891, then your number neighbours would be whoever has 123-456-7890 and 123-456-7892 as a phone number. It's as easy as that!

The resultant conversations sparked by the number neighbour challenge vary widely — some are pure and have seemingly forged new virtual friendships, while others have led to pranks and rather, er, interesting exchanges. If you're in the mood to LOL, scroll ahead to read some of the most hysterical number neighbour conversations that've been shared on social media so far. Be warned, dear reader — your number neighbour may turn out to be pretty savage.
