Instagram is creating a more inclusive environment for its users. On May 11, the app introduced a new feature [1] where individuals can display their pronouns publicly. This profile section is now available in the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
"Instagram has always been a place where users can express and be themselves — and with this latest feature, IG is excited to normalize pronoun usage while promoting a more thoughtful community," the brand said in a statement. To utilise the feature, simply open the app and go to your personal page, then select the "edit profile" button. There, you'll find a section to add up to four pronouns.
