When Is Spotify Wrapped 2022 Available?

Spotify Wrapped 2022 Is Finally Here and it’s Nailed our Listening Personality

Nothing signals the end of the year more than the release of Spotify Wrapped, the data-driven musical culmination of a Spotify user's year. While we've been waiting for Spotify Wrapped 2022, we've been kept occupied with Instafest, a third party app that uses data to create our fantasy festival lineup, but it's still the OG summary that reigns supreme.

We're here to let you know the good news: at 1 p.m. on 30 Nov., it finally arrived! Yes, it still essentially roasts us for listening to "Harry's House" an arguably unhealthy number of times and made us cringe at the hours spent with Adele's "I Drink Wine" on repeat, but it's back for the eighth year.

On top of the bold, kaleidoscope design, there's a new feature for Spotify Wrapped 2022, and it's set to be the most shareable part of this year's roundup. The app has analysed your listening behaviour and awarded you with a listening personality in a similar feature to last year's Audio Aura. With 16 possible personalities, we already can't wait to see how we compare to friends. "We analyse our users based on these four factors: your tendency to discover new music, the average age of tracks you listen to, the range of artists you listen to, and also how your listening resembles and differs from others," Spotify's Head of Consumer Marketing Fraser Stapleton told POPSUGAR.

So whether you're an adventurer who is constantly discovering new music, or a deep-diver who loves a particular artist so much you trawl through their back catalogue, Spotfy knows you better than you know yourself (kind of). There are personalised artist messages from artists, the opportunity to purchase merchandise, and see when they are touring, too.

When it comes to the most-listened to artists in the UK, it comes as no shock to see Taylor Swift bag the top spot. Yet for the first time, five out of the ten are British artists with Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Dave, Arctic Monkeys, and D-Block Europe all making waves in the UK.

In a year that's seen the Lionesses roar to victory at the EUROs (and roar "Sweet Caroline"), Kate Bush running up the music charts thanks to a "Stranger Things" revival, and Beyoncé enter her "Renaissance" era, it's been a big year. Spotify Wrapped 2022 is here to celebrate — and expose — your music tastes. Ahead, find all the details you need to know.

When Will 2022 Spotify Wrapped Be Released?

At 1 p.m. on 30 Nov., Spotify Wrapped 2022 landed. We knew it was getting close after Spotify revealed a landing page, stating "Wrapped is coming" in October.

Last year, 2021 Spotify Wrapped was unveiled on 1 Dec., and in 2020 and 2019, Spotify Wrapped was released on 2 Dec. and 5 Dec., respectively. So, this year has given us a head start with late November release date.

How Do I See My 2022 Spotify Wrapped Information?

Open up the Spotify app on your phone or computer, and you should see a pop-up notification appear within the app, allowing you to navigate to your full, animated 2022 Spotify Wrapped story, which features your most-played songs, artists, genres, and more fun facts about your Spotify listening history that you may find incredible interesting or entirely embarrassing, depending on your Spotify habits. You should also be able to navigate to your Spotify Wrapped via your home page, where you'll most likely see a dedicated banner. The feature also provides you with playlists: Your Top Songs, which is pretty self-explanatory; and Your Artists Revealed, which is a mix of songs, interviews, and more from your year's top artists.

To top things off, Spotify makes all of the cards in the slideshow shareable — so if you're not afraid to let anyone know just how many times you streamed Taylor Swift this year (or if you just want to brag), you have the freedom to share your results on Instagram Stories, Facebook, or Twitter.

What If I Don't See My 2022 Spotify Wrapped Playlist and Story?

If you aren't seeing your 2022 Spotify Wrapped anywhere within the app (even when you search for it), try quitting the app and restarting it. If that doesn't work, your app may not be up to date, in which case you should head to your phone's app store and verify that you have the latest version of Spotify. If neither fix works, you can always reach out to Spotify's support centre for help.
