Figuring out how to find the Request Folder on Instagram has become a struggle for many people — T-Pain being one of them. If you haven't been able to find it before, that's because the notification is small and usually only pops up if you're already in your Direct Messages. If you need some help locating this hard-to-find folder, follow these steps:
- First, open the Instagram app.
- Slide over to your Direct Messages page.
- If you don't have any pending requests, you won't see anything, but if you do, you'll see "Requests" with the number of requests on the top right of the screen.
- Tap "Requests" and you'll see who sent you messages that didn't make it into your primary direct messages.
This folder is essentially like a filtration system so that people don't get bombarded with message requests from people they don't know or follow. The good part about the Requests Folder is that you can choose to either open the message, delete it, or block the person who sent it before they can see if you saw it or not.
