Matthew McConaughey, in a Dolce & Gabanna suit, linked up with director Richard Linklater for the NYC premiere of Bernie last night. It's one of multiple projects Matthew has coming to theaters, but his female fans are likely more excited to see Matthew — and his abs — on display in Magic Mike. The Magic Mike trailer was released last week, and it, like we'd hoped, features plenty of six-pack-filled scenes from Matthew and costars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, and more. Matthew's in the US after a trip to his fiancé Camila Alves's native Brazil. Camila was by Matthew's side for the Sao Paulo opening of the retailer Le Lis Blanc Noir Boutique flagship store. The appearance was one of Matthew's responsibilities as an international spokesman for the South American chain.
Matthew McConaughey had fiancée Camila Alves by his side last night at the Sao Paulo opening of the retailer Le Lis Blanc Noir Boutique flagship store. They're in Camila's home country of Brazil, where Matthew is an international spokesman for the South American chain. Matthew and Camila spent Easter in Texas, relaxing with friends and loved ones. Matthew, Camila, Levi, and Vida relocated to Austin a few months back to be closer to his family.
It sounds like Matthew could be spending more quality time with his best friend, Woody Harrelson, as well. Matthew and Woody may star in True Detective, an eight-part detective series about two officers who embark on a 17-year hunt to catch a serial killer. This isn't the first onscreen collaboration for Matthew and Woody, as they previously collaborated on EdTV and Surfer, Dude.
Magic Mike, aka that Matthew McConaughey movie about male strippers, has some seriously hot actors in its cast, and today we've got our first official look at the film. Only McConaughey has his shirt off here, but it's still hilarious to see the likes of Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, and Joe Manganiello dressed as army-style strippers. I'm sensing a U.S.O. theme.

It was a very merry Christmas for the Alves-McConaughey family — Matthew and Camila are engaged! Matthew McConaughey apparently popped the question on Christmas Day, and he revealed the exciting news with this sweet kissing picture on his WhoSay account. Matthew wrote, "just asked Camila to marry me, Merry Christmas."
Camila and Matthew have two kids together: Levi, who is 3, and Vida, who is turning 2 next month. The foursome spend most of their time home in Malibu, but also often travel the world together, whether it's road tripping in their Airstream or visiting Camila's native Brazil. Congrats to the happy couple and whole family!
Reese Witherspoon reunited with her Mud costar Matthew McConaughey at last night's Art Mere/Art Pere benefit for Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Foundation in LA. She posed for photos solo on the Corzo, JetBlue, and OpenSky-sponsored red carpet before heading in to mingle and meet up with her husband, Jim Toth, whose father, James Toth, Sr., was being honored. Matthew was happy to take pictures with an arm around his partner Camila Alves, as newlyweds Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse did the same. Funny people Melissa McCarthy, Aubrey Plaza, and Aziz Ansari made the rounds too, and the girls stopped for a photo with Dexter's Colin Hanks. We snagged a moment with Melissa on the red carpet, and while she admitted to being thrilled with the acting opportunities coming her way, she said she's really hoping for a cameo on Yo Gabba Gabba to impress her kids. A tanned and fresh-from-her-honeymoon Molly Sims also checked out the live and silent auctions along with Entourage duo Perrey Reeves and Jeremy Piven.
Many of Hollywood's hottest couples hit the red carpet in LA yesterday for the premiere of Iris, a new production from Cirque du Soleil. Matthew McConaughey threw on a fancy vest to pose alongside his sequined ladylove Camila Alves, while Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber shared an afternoon out with their kids. Christina Hendricks posed with husband Geoffrey Arend, as did Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. NPH was impressed with what he saw, basically tweeting a rave review. He wrote, "Just saw the premiere of Cirque du Soleil's new show Iris. It's ammazing! If you come to Hollywood, it is a must see! Best show in years!" Recently single Joe Manganiello was looking hunky before the show began, and he was able to mingle with some other single stars like Vanessa Hudgens.
Here's one of those actor/actress pairings that sounds so perfect it feels crazy that it hasn't happened before. Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon are in talks to star in Mud, as soul mates who are separated but trying to make their way back to each other. McConaughey plays title character Mud, who is a charismatic fugitive on the run from bounty hunters to get back to his love Juniper (Witherspoon). Young actor Tye Sheridan (recently seen in The Tree of Life with Brad Pitt) also has a significant role as a 14-year-old kid who befriends Mud and helps with his escape plot.
Matthew McConaughey donned a cowboy hat and boots for an appearance at the LA Film Festival alongside Camila Alves last night. The duo were there for the premiere of Matthew's indie movie, Bernie, which also stars Jack Black and Shirley McLaine. The dark comedy opened the festivities and was screened just before Ryan Reynolds's Green Lantern. MM and Camila enjoyed their adults-only evening after spending Wednesday at Disneyland with Levi and Vida. Their adorable family caused quite a stir at the amusement park, though they were a little more low key during a recent trip to their Santa Monica church.
Gisele Bundchen wore Oscar de la Renta on the red carpet at the AFI Life Achievement Award honoring Morgan Freeman held last night at LA's Sony Pictures Studios. The supermodel said hello to the man himself, hugging Morgan and the Brazilian TV presenter Hebe Camargo. Gisele also caught up with Morgan's daughter Alexia before moving inside to mingle with other celeb guests like Clint Eastwood, Matthew Broderick, Matthew McConaughey, Casey Affleck, Betty White, and Helen Mirren. Morgan's Amistad costar Matthew McConaughey rocked a new look with his handlebar mustache, though his girlfriend, Camila Alves, didn't seem to mind the new facial fuzz. Morgan said a few words about his career and humbly acknowledged one special role in Bruce Almighty. Morgan Freeman said of his AFI honor, "I should be ashamed to say that sooner or later, I knew that someone was going to call on me to play God. I just had to be sure that when I said OK, that it was a comedy."
Lee Daniels is best known for directing Precious, but he's taking on a sexual thriller for his next project. Daniels will direct a film adaptation of The Paperboy, with Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire, Sofia Vergara, and Zac Efron. The film focuses on a Miami reporter doing a story about a death-row inmate. Not much is known about who will play which characters, but thanks to Spider-Man I can definitely see Maguire as the reporter.
