Do You Advise Your Mum on Her Clothes?

My Mum loves shopping as much as I do (must be genetic) and we often shop together.

My Mum loves shopping as much as I do (must be genetic) and we often shop together. She's a great person to do it with too because she's so honest. Sometimes, she asks me for advice too and I'm more than happy to help. There are many stylish Mums and daughters in the public eye these days – like Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn, I wonder if they shop together? This got me thinking, do you ever offer your Mum advice on clothes?

Earlier this week, Elle threw its 17th annual Women in Hollywood Tribute, and besides the amazing celebrity honorees, we're obviously gushing over what everyone was wearing. Diane Kruger, Kerry Washington, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Hilary Swank all stunned in Calvin Klein, while Kate Hudson made an entrance in Prabal Gurung. Obviously, fashion's on the forefront of my mind, but it's always a treat to see that behind the scenes of Hollywood it's all just a bunch of girlfriends chit-chatting. Step inside to glimpse the tribute to our favorite Hollywood women, all the fashion and fun.

Superstars Get Together For a Big Charity Birthday Bash

Lady GaGa, Sir Elton John, Deborah Harry, Dame Shirley Bassey and Bruce Springsteen were among the performers at the Rainforest Fund's 21st Birthday Celebration at Carnegie Hall in NYC last night.

Lady GaGa, Sir Elton John, Deborah Harry, Dame Shirley Bassey and Bruce Springsteen were among the performers at the Rainforest Fund's 21st Birthday Celebration at Carnegie Hall in NYC last night. GaGa looked striking in her unique white outfit, and had to take off one of her enormous shoes to work the piano pedal. Sting got in touch with his feminine side during the show, which was produced by his wife Trudie Styler.

Chris Noth hosted the event, remember you could win tickets to see him as Mr Big at the Sex and the City 2 premiere! Mary J Blige performed with Sting, Elton amusingly sang "Like a Virgin" surrounded by some male dancers in their underwear, and all the performers reunited for Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" as the final number. Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson also took to the stage, while Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell were among those that watched from the crowd.

Ladies Look Lovely In The Limelight At 2009 BAFTA Awards

Last night I made my way to Covent Garden for the 2009 BAFTA Awards held at the Royal Opera House, and watched from the red carpet as all the stars made their way inside to enjoy the ceremony.

Last night I made my way to Covent Garden for the 2009 BAFTA Awards held at the Royal Opera House, and watched from the red carpet as all the stars made their way inside to enjoy the ceremony. There was a fab mix of Hollywood A listers and burgeoning Brit talent out in the typically British rain, but luckily much of the red carpet was undercover, and brollies were being handed out to everyone as they arrived. Penelope Cruz rushed up the thick red carpet as fast as she could, but most of the other invited ladies like Meryl Streep and Amy Adams wandered leisurely.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took their time, Freida Pinto was so excited to be there and looked absolutely stunning in her pale pink dress, Emma Watson spent time talking to fans, while Goldie Hawn beamed her famous smile at everyone who shouted her name. Sharon Stone and Karolina Kurkova wore dresses that matched the carpet, while Kate Winslet was telling everyone she was happy to be back at home representing her movies as her parents proudly looked on.

Don't forget to vote on whether you love or hate the ladies' looks, and check out all the winners. But to see many more images of all the fabulous females that took to the red carpet last night, just read more

London Fashion Week: Celeb Spotting — Part Five

We're on part five of my celeb spotting at London Fashion Week series, and yesterday there were even more shows from the likes of House of Holland and Betty Jackson, as well as a big charity fashion show called Fashion For Relief, where lots of famous faces took to the catwalk in aid of the White Ribbon Alliance.

Heidi Range lost a shoe on the catwalk as she worked it with her Sugababes bandmates, but that didn't stop her grinning as she posed! Cheryl Cole also beamed as she walked up and down the catwalk, but anyone would if they were wearing her enormous new wedding ring.

Daisy Lowe and Naomi Campbell brought some professional model skills to the mix, and Jo Wood, Estelle, Skin, Monica Cruz, Kimberly Stewart, Jamelia, and a show-stealing Cilla Black also worked their inner model alongside hunky male models Tyson Beckford and Paul Sculfor. Elsewhere in London Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn and Sharleen Spiteri were seen clutching Lanvin bags as they left a party, and Coco Sumner was among the guests at Harrods for Andre 3000's clothing launch.

Kate, Ryder And Goldie Jump Waves During Family Day

Having enjoyed some R&R time at the end of last week, Kate Hudson spent the weekend with the waves and her family, taking Ryder to the beach in Malibu with mum Goldie Hawn and brother Oliver.

Having enjoyed some R&R time at the end of last week, Kate Hudson spent the weekend with the waves and her family, taking Ryder to the beach in Malibu with mum Goldie Hawn and brother Oliver. I love seeing generations of families out and about together, and my girl Lil will be pleased to see one of her favourite boys of summer enjoying the surf alongside one of her favourite mums over 50. Kate showed off her fashion credentials once more in a cute sun dress, and with that gorgeous blue ikat skirt she sported last week, Kate's certainly got a beach wardrobe to envy.
