At last night's Baby2Baby Gala, event chair and brand ambassador Jessica Alba showed how to stun with colour when she turned up in a bright pink dress. But she wasn't the only celebrity to fete the charity in style. Jessica presented Drew Barrymore with the Giving Tree Award that evening. Click to see the event's most stylish looks from Nicole Richie, Jamie King, and more.
Drew Barrymore shared sweet PDA with her husband, Will Kopelman, as they hit the red carpet for the Baby2Baby Gala in LA on Saturday night. In her first public appearance since confirming her second pregnancy, Drew was all smiles while showing off her growing baby bump in a Tory Burch dress — it's safe to say that she's already glowing! Last week, it was announced that Drew and Will were expecting their second child together — the two are already parents to 1-year-old Olive. The actress recently spoke about her pregnancy in an interview, revealing that she and Will "wanted so bad for Olive to have a sibling" and that all she wants to eat at the moment is Chinese food.
More hot Hollywood couples joined Drew and Will at the soiree for Baby2Baby, which aims to supply LA families in need with gear and clothing for their young children. Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman, Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, and a Reem Acra-clad Jessica Alba — who took turns posing with husband Cash Warren and Spy Kids 4 costar Joel McHale — all stepped out for the charity event. Jessica is a board member and longtime supporter of Baby2Baby, as is Nicole Richie, who arrived with husband Joel Madden. It seemed like a fun, adults-only night out for most of the attendees, including new mom Jaime King, who welcomed her son, James, just last month.
Last night, the stars were out to celebrate the launch of Kenzo's Kalifornia bag, and although we were on full It bag watch, we couldn't help but be distracted by the print party. Jessica Alba, in a graphic-print minidress with a textured hemline, and Fergie both framed their prints with black to let them pop. Rashida Jones showed she wasn't afraid of pattern in a fish-print dress, which she accessorised with a blue shoulder bag and white platform sandals. Three ways to wear print — but only one can be your favourite! Vote below.
Who What Wear's 50 Most Fashionable Women of 2013 event brought out some of style's big guns, including a Wes Gordon-wearing Jessica Alba and a glowing, pregnant Rachel Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman. However, Nicole Richie stole the show in a low-cut dress and lace cat ears. Before arriving for the soiree at the London Hotel in LA on Thursday night, Nicole gave a glimpse of her feline-inspired look in a photo posted to Instagram, where she posed with her younger sister, Sofia, and Jessica.
Nicole and Rachel were reunited at the party after having both attended the Annenberg Center Gala in LA last week. The duo mingled with another expectant star, Gwen Stefani, who confirmed her third pregnancy when she cradled her growing bump on the red carpet. The No Doubt singer seemed to have a ball at the bash and posed for a sweet bump-to-bump photo with Rachel.
Jessica Alba showed off a new, shorter hairstyle when she attended the premiere of her latest film, A.C.O.D., in LA last night. While on the red carpet, Jessica met up with her costars Amy Poehler and Adam Scott, both of whom also star together in Parks and Recreation, which, coincidentally, premiered its sixth season last night. Jessica was excited to meet up with Amy and Adam again as she posted a snap ahead of the event on Instagram of the two actors and wrote, "Can't wait to see these two kids at the A.C.O.D. premiere tonight." Though the project won't hit theaters until Oct. 4, be sure to check out the trailer for A.C.O.D. before it comes to a theater near you.
New York Fashion Week has almost come to a close! The festivities started off with a bang at last Wednesday night's Style Awards. The event brought out stars like Kate Upton, Rachel Zoe, and Nicole Richie, and even more fashion-loving celebs have stepped out to take in the shows as the week progessed. A-list designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Zoe, and Alexander Wang have all shown their Spring 2014 collections around the city, so we've naturally seen some very star-studded front rows. Celebs like Jessica Alba, Kerry Washington, and Kanye West have stepped out to take in the runway shows, as well as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who walked the red carpet together at the Lexus Design Disrupted event. We'll be keeping an eye on all the celebrities to pop up at New York Fashion Week, so check back as we keep updating the fun!
Jessica Alba certainly looks glam in Editorialist.com's third issue, but it's a more dressed-down look that really gets people talking about the actress and street-style pro. She reveals to the online magazine what makes her casualwear something to talk about: "I like to mix high and low, like American Apparel with Ralph Lauren."
And if you're a fan of her denim looks, she's happy to get specific with recommendations. "There's a pair of Rag & Bone with a little stretch that's been my go-to for that tight, high-waisted jam, but I still like a J Brand bell bottom — and I think Ralph makes the best denim jackets."
And how did she look so flawless in those jeans so quickly after giving birth to baby number two, Haven? In part, corsets. "It's something that people do in Africa and India, and it's not an uncommon thing — though they usually just wrap it with cloth," Alba said. "It just puts your stomach muscles and all your organs [back into place]. So it's just to give your body muscle memory of where it was, but you don't lose weight or anything. You have to diet and exercise for that." Whatever you did, Jessica, you look great (and here's the proof!).
Jessica Alba spent quality time with her girls in LA and all the while showed us the simplest way to amp up our boyfriend jeans for Summer. How so? By pairing a black camisole with her Citizens of Humanity denim (£195), which she cuffed at the bottom. We dig the juxtaposition between the fitted top and baggy bottoms. The stylish mom then added a few key pieces to round out the laid-back look. She wore a black straw hat on her head, threw on a deep red crossbody bag for a hint of color, then finished with black strappy sandals. To give your own boyfriend jeans a fresh treatment, just follow Jessica's lead and match them with a fitted camisole — in any color! — and add your favorite accessories to finish.
Celebrities crisscross the globe to walk red carpets around the world time and time again. And while most of us don't have to worry about paparazzi snapping our mugs postflight, when it comes to looking impossibly fresh and perfectly coiffed, this jet-setting bunch knows a thing or two about getting it right. Garner in-flight hair inspiration from these world-traveling women, and no one will ever know that you slept for hours . . . at 30,000 feet.
1. Loose waves: Second-day hair is ideal for airplane travel. Just take Dita Von Teese's stretched curls as an example. Let your day-old waves or curls fall flat when you fly, refreshing roots with a touch of dry shampoo. Amp up the look with a swipe of bright lipstick and paparazzi-blocking shades.
2. Side plait: Miranda Kerr knows that anything styled to the side is an airport winner. A ponytail or plait flipped over one shoulder will allow you to sleep with ease. Plus, you can take the plait down once you reach your destination for an effortless, wavy look. Another nap-friendly style is a milkmaid plait. Go ahead: put those earplugs in, and get some beauty rest.
3. Hat: A celebrity airport staple is a floppy or fedora hat. Jessica Alba threw on a felt fedora after her long trip to distract from tousled hair. She also had a chance to apply mascara, blush, and a rosy lip colour. If you plan on stuffing your hat in your carry-on, then fill it with your underwear to make sure it maintains the shape while in the cargo hold.
4. Topknot: Steal this look from Carly Rae Jepsen on your nighttime plane ride. A topknot will keep hair from getting mussed by the headrest or your neck pillow. By adding a scarf around the base, you can hide flyaways and add an element of style.
