Beyoncé's Gold Makeup Look at The Lion King

Beyoncé's Makeup Artist Shared Her Full Lion King Premiere Makeup Breakdown

When Beyoncé attended the The Lion King premiere in London on Sunday night our hearts stopped for two reasons. First, she met Meghan Markle, and their exchange was everything we'd dreamt of (UK royalty meets US royalty!). And second, she wore the most incredible head-to-toe gold ensemble, right down to her glimmering makeup and manicure.

"Attending the LA premiere and seeing the CGI for the 1st time was visually such a treat. Nala's eyes mesmerised me, and I thought, how can I translate this into wearable glam?! If you noticed, the London premiere was my attempt at harnessing the power and sultry essence of a lioness. Not literal in interpretation, however there's an undeniable feline presence", Beyoncé's longtime makeup artist, Sir John said about his inspiration behind the look.

Luckily for us, he also shared a full breakdown of the look, revealing that he used products from the new limited-edition Luminess Beauty The Lion King Collection, which he had a hand in developing.

Here's Sir John's full breakdown that he posted on Instagram:

Eyeshadow — Simba and Nala
Crease — King and Pride Rock
Transition — Safari Khaki
Body — Circle Of Life highlighter (particularly décolletage, arms, legs and shoulders — all light reflective places)
Lips — Trouble Liquid Lipstick with Pounce layered on top.
Various shades from Kingdom Sculpting Palette used to define the face.
