Meghan Markle's Wedding Makeup Was as Naturally Beautiful as Can Be

In case you missed it, a royal wedding has happened and it was beyond beautiful. As dedicated beauty junkies, aside from the dress, there's one thing on our minds: her makeup. Since transitioning into royal life, Meghan's beauty regimen has got more natural with each public appearance. Her toned down makeup complete with messy bun is refreshing compared with other royal family members, like Kate's perfect hair at all times, even just after giving birth! Ahead, take a look at Meghan's beautifully natural wedding makeup.

For the big day Meghan opted for an elegant updo with a diamond bandeau tiara, styled by Serge Normant. For makeup, she went for a light smoky eye and light pink lipstick with her freckles most definitely showing. Her makeup was done by makeup artist and long-time friend Daniel Martin.

Meghan's Makeup Prediction

One thing is for sure, Meghan's makeup will be about as natural as wedding beauty goes. Unlike this photo from January 2016, we probably won't see a dark lip or heavy eye makeup on her wedding day. Many of the beauty products she uses are subtle to accentuate her trademark glowing complexion.

Meghan's Makeup Prediction

It's safe to say we'll see Meghan's freckles on the big day. Her former makeup artist, Lydia Sellers revealed to Refinery29 that it's her number one request, she must have her "freckles peeking through". We've seen this throughout her royal appearances, as Meghan focuses on emphasising her natural beauty with minimal makeup. For the rest of her makeup, we predict she'll have a sheer but long-lasting foundation, probably one of her favourites like Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, and maybe even accentuate some of her freckles by adding more.

She might mimic Kate Middleton's classic smoky eye though we think she'll opt for a slightly lighter version. We also predict a light pink lip. Overall, it will be minimal, simplistic, and very natural.

Meghan's Hair Prediction

Unlike Kate, we know that Meghan's hair isn't always princess perfect at every public engagement, but that doesn't mean she compromises sophistication for her laid back approach. She won our hearts over with her messy bun because it's a look we can actually achieve at home, and without a stylist on call!

In her more recent appearances, Meghan has had a bit of a messy bun makeover, incorporating bigger chunks of curled hair at the front, making more of an occasion updo.

Meghan's Skincare Prediction

It only takes one look at Meghan to see that she takes great care of her skin and this isn't something she's only just adopted since joining the royals. This picture from 2010 shows the actress with glowing skin and freckles on full display, a trait she's still very much fond of maintaining.

Meghan's Skincare Prediction

Her incredible complexion doesn't just come from taking her makeup off every night. In preparation for the wedding, Meghan will likely be having weekly facials, if not more. We also know that she likes to involve a facial massage into her facials, and possibly even daily on herself. This gives her a sculpted look without contouring, ensuring her makeup is as natural as possible.

Meghan's Hair Prediction

Although Meghan is partial to a messy undo, we think ultimately she'll go for the loose waves we saw in her engagement photos, possibly with a little more bounce and volume to match the veil. She might even take inspiration from Kate's wedding day look and go for a half up look, possibly with a tiara.

Meghan's former hairstylist, Lydia Sellers told POPSUGAR that "Meghan always loved a loose curl with not too much structure. She loved a smooth wave that looked tousled and effortless while still feeling polished." One of her favorite products to create this was Oribe Dry Texture Spray (£22).
