Michelle Obama [1] stepped out at Essence Festival in New Orleans last weekend and debuted an all-new hairstyle that's giving us all the Summer hair colour inspiration [2] we need. During a talk with Gayle King about her memoir, Becoming [3], the former first lady wore her hair with blond ombré highlights — and "wow" isn't even the word to describe our reactions upon seeing her new look for the first time.
The style, created by Yene Damtew [4], was a shoulder-length, tightly curled bob with darker roots that lightened up at the ends.
