By far the prettiest manicure of the year, and perhaps ever. Dried flower nails gave us serious heart eyes and we won't just be wearing these in the Spring.

Just when we nearly forgot about jelly shoes, jelly nails gave us major '90s nostalgia. Thanks to beauty trend queen, Kylie Jenner, these were all over Instagram this Summer.

Perhaps the most chic trend of them all: tortoiseshell nails. Who knew a colour pattern normally reserved for jewellery, glasses and cats would look so good as a manicure.

Nails are a great way for personal expression and even to promote your political views. That's exactly what people did when the time came to vote. These vote nails express people's views loud and clear.

Nail stickers prove that you don't need to be a professional to try out cool trends at home. Stickers are the easiest way to transform any plain manicure into a nail art masterpiece.

Another spiritual manicure that people loved in 2018 was zodiac nails. What better way to celebrate your star sign?

If these fun negative space nails don't have you screaming for Summer, we don't know what will. This trend will likely return in 2019 when everyone has had enough of the holidays and needs all the neon colours in their lives.

We've been doing these ombrè french manicure nails for years but with the new term baby boomer nails, they really took off in 2018 and it's not hard to see why.
