Dwyane Wade is head-over-heels for his wife, Gabrielle Union-Wade. On Nov. 10, the NBA superstar got a new tattoo just for her, in honour of her 50th birthday, which was on Oct. 29.
Wade's tattoo was etched into his wrist using the fine-line technique. He kept the design simple, opting for his wife's initials, "GU," next to a heart. Shortly after, Union-Wade posted a video of her reaction to seeing the tattoo for the first time on Instagram. The caption of the post read in part: "The moment you find out your man has made you his 17th 🧐 tattoo. 🖤🖤🖤 @dwyanewade." In the video, Union-Wade hurries over to Wade's side for a few kisses when she finally realises what the tattoo says.
This latest tattoo marks Wade's 17th piece of ink, and like the majority of his other designs, holds deep significance to the star. Some of Wade's other special tattoos included his daughter's name, portraits of championship trophies that he's won, and civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr.
