MAC Cosmetics is launching at Boots! I repeat: MAC Cosmetics is launching at Boots! On Wednesday, it was announced that as of 29 July (which just so happens to be National Lipstick Day), you'll be able to stock up on your favourite Paint Pot shades and Cremesheen Lipstick at Boots.com and in select stores across UK and Ireland.

Founded in 1984 by makeup artist and photographer Frank Toskan, and salon owner Frank Angelo, MAC Cosmetics was born out of the frustration of the lack of makeup on the market that photographed well. It wasn't long before MAC became well-known for its bold colour offerings, high-performing formulas, and charitable endeavours. The brand has remained at the forefront of the beauty industry ever since.

"This is an exciting time for MAC, as a brand we have always set the industry standard and by joining forces with Boots we are making prestige cosmetics and artistry more accessible to high street shoppers," said Fiona Sainty, vice president of MAC Cosmetics UK and Ireland.

To celebrate the launch, MAC is giving five people the chance to win a virtual 1-2-1 session with a senior makeup artist alongside £250 worth of MAC makeup. It will give another 500 lucky customers a free MAC lipstick; all you've got to do is sign up to the wait list before 27 July.

Honestly, we can barely keep up with all of the incredible brands that have launched into Boots over the last 12 months. The news of MAC comes just a few weeks after the health-and-beauty retailer announced Laura Mercier and Nars were both launching on Boots.com. The introduction of so many brands is part of Boots's huge beauty reinvention to make beauty products across all price points more accessible to high street shoppers.
