During season two of Queer Eye, Porowski started wearing eyeliner when he noticed his groomer was wearing some. "She was explaining what eyeliner was, and how it works, and how you have to basically draw along the inside of the eye and it really makes your eye pop," he said. "And I was just like, oh, why don't we try that? So I did it and I kind of really liked it."
The experience changed his perception of makeup. "It's incredible how makeup can really accentuate parts of you," he said. "I always thought makeup was just made to cover up. But in many instances, it's actually used to accentuate other parts of you."
He said he'd like to keep wearing the liner (which he thinks is by Bobbi Brown) on the show. "Every season, there should be one little moment where I put on a little eyeliner and show that guys are allowed to wear it, too," he said.
