"I felt weird that my legs were so hairy, so one day I just decided to try shaving without telling my mom. I didn't tell her before I did it because I didn't want her to talk me out of it. Shaving is a pain in the ass. I don't enjoy the act of doing it because it's difficult, time consuming, and feels like a chore. However, I enjoy the feeling of freshly shaved legs. I feel prettier and more put together when I shave. So I guess I do it for myself, but a large reason is because I have been socialised to associate shaved legs with being beautiful and more feminine."
