If you were just hit with a wave of nostalgia for the smell of fake leather and the sound of a guitar riff playing through tinny speakers, rest assured that you haven't just stepped foot into your local mall's Hot Topic — it's just Tinashe reminding us that it's OK for your hair, makeup, and outfit to match that vibe as you jam out to Willow Smith and Machine Gun Kelly's "Emo Girl [2]." While performing her song "X / I Can See the Future [3]" from her album, "333," Tinashe gave a 360 look at her punk-rock hair [4]. It featured bleach-blond roots [5] and wispy bangs [6] that we've come to associate with Avril Lavigne [7], Hayley Williams, and all of our favourite 2000s rockstars.
Like a "Euphoria [8]" character gone punk, Tinashe styled her new hair, which stretched all the way past her waist, with fishnet tights, fingerless gloves, and knee-high combat boots.
