Tinashe went full emo girl during her "Jimmy Kimmel Live" performance on Tuesday, rocking a shaggy new hairstyle that was just as rock 'n' roll in the front as it was in the back. If you were just hit with a wave of nostalgia for the smell of fake leather and the sound of a guitar riff playing through tinny speakers, rest assured that you haven't just stepped foot into your local mall's Hot Topic — it's just Tinashe reminding us that it's OK for your hair, makeup, and outfit to match that vibe as you jam out to Willow Smith and Machine Gun Kelly's "Emo Girl." While performing her song "X / I Can See the Future" from her album, "333," Tinashe gave a 360 look at her punk-rock hair. It featured bleach-blond roots and wispy bangs that we've come to associate with Avril Lavigne, Hayley Williams, and all of our favourite 2000s rockstars.
Like a "Euphoria" character gone punk, Tinashe styled her new hair, which stretched all the way past her waist, with fishnet tights, fingerless gloves, and knee-high combat boots. Her makeup artist completed the look with thick black eyeliner, white eyeshadow embellished with rhinestones, and a hot pink lip.
