When the "Euphoria [2]" star posed for photos on the red carpet at the TIME100 Gala on June 8, we were immediately drawn to her rare vintage Bob Mackie dress [3] from 1998, but when looking a little closer, we saw that her dress wasn't the only thing borrowed from the '90s. For the event in New York City, she had '90s-inspired supermodel nails [4] with a pale pink shade covering her fingertips. While the supermodel manicure has been around for a while, it's become a very popular neutral trend for events like weddings and engagements. The term was coined by celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik [6], who used it to describe Margot Robbie's nails for the 2021 Oscars. The supermodel manicure simply entails a sheer pink base coat with cleaned-up nail beds. With some of the over-the-top nail art [7] we've seen as of late, the resurgence of the clean, sheer look [8] is refreshing.
