Meghan Markle is just months away from tying the knot with Prince Harry, but she's already a royal in our book. Not only has she perfected the curtsy and mastered her royal wave, but she's already started using her platform to make a difference in the world. According to ET, Meghan has Harry to thank for teaching her the royal ropes. The prince reportedly gave Meghan "a rundown of what's expected," and has been "taking care of her just like [Prince] William did with Kate [Middleton]." 1. She's Developed a British Accent

Prince Harry's British accent has clearly rubbed off on the American actress, and it's adorable.

2. She Celebrated Christmas With the Royal Family

In 2017, Meghan made history when she became the first royal fiancée to spend the festive holiday with the family. Royal protocol states that only spouses of royals can attend Queen Elizabeth II's festivities, but Harry reportedly asked that an exception be made.

3. She's Delivered Her First Public Curtsy

Meghan debuted the perfect curtsy when she greeted the queen during a Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church.

4. She's Mastered the Royal Wave

After delivering her first curtsy, Meghan showed off her royal wave when she and Harry visited Reprezent Radio in Brixton, South London, in January.

5. She's Done With Selfies

Meghan clearly already has a firm grasp of royal etiquette. During her visit to Nottingham back in December, a couple reportedly asked her for a selfie, to which she replied, "We're not allowed to do selfies." Even though the rule has become more relaxed over time, people should refrain from asking the royal family for an autograph or selfie because it is a breech of royal protocol.

6. She's Using Her Platform to Change the Lives of Others

When Meghan marries Harry in May, she will be expected to choose charities to be patron of like the rest of the royal family. Even though Meghan has to wait until the Spring to decide what causes she'll champion, she's already talked about how she plans to "hit the ground running" in support of women's rights. While speaking at the launch of the Royal Foundation Forum in February, Meghan shed light on women's empowerment and voiced her support for campaigns like #MeToo and Time's Up.

7. She's Broken Protocol

At the Royal Foundation Forum in February, Meghan was photographed hugging a journalist. While royal protocol dictates that touching shouldn't go beyond a handshake, the British royal family are no strangers to breaking the rules, especially when emotion takes over.

8. She's Got the "Duchess Slant" Down

Meghan showed off her "duchess slant" when she stepped out with Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton at the Royal Foundation Forum in February. The move, in which the knees and ankles are kept together and the legs are slanted to the side to create a flattering silhouette, has become a go-to pose for Kate and it looks like she's passed it on to Meghan.
